Marianna Gavurmadzhyan
“I fell in love with journalism through fashion magazines, but it was a class at Boston University that sparked my passion for telling the stories of those who can’t. Since then, I’ve expanded my work across a variety of topics, always drawn to the overlooked, the misrepresented, and the cultural moments hiding in plain sight. When I’m not running late to class or studying, you can find me running along the river or beach—when the weather decides to cooperate, of course.”

FROM CANVAS TO BODYPUBLISHED Aug 1, 2025 Photo: “Rhythm 0” (1974) by Marina Abramovic. From what I’ve seen, it has become a rarity for “traditional” forms of art to go viral – at least in a way that breaks through to the non-artistic crowd.
